Personal Profile

"To whom much is given, much is expected" is a principle originating from Luke 12:48 in the Bible, signifying that individuals blessed with greater talents, wealth, knowledge, or opportunities bear a higher responsibility to use them to serve others and honor God. Key aspects of the principle:Stewardship & Accountability: It emphasizes that resources are entrusted, not merely possessed, and that accountability increases with the amount received.Application: This applies to spiritual gifts, financial wealth, time, and influence, which should be used to make a positive impact rather than selfishly. The Context: Jesus speaks this in a parable to illustrate that while ignorance might lead to fewer consequences for wrongdoing, those with knowledge and resources are held to a stricter standard of action. Broader Meaning: Beyond religious context, it is widely recognized as a call for leadership, social responsibility, and philanthropy—those with advantages should give back. Ultimately, the saying serves as a reminder that privilege carries responsibility, and that faithfulness is measured by how one manages what they have been given.
